The GBEA held a multi-media contest to celebrate Read Across America. Students were asked to submit a poster, audio or video clip that supported the above theme. Criteria for the contest was as follows:

The submission followed directions

The submission was the student's original work

Eisenhower ESL

On Tuesday, March 16, President David Harswick presented ESL students at Eisenhower Elementary School a $50.00 check for their video submission for GBEA's Read Across America contest. The students turned down a pizza party to instead give the money to HEAL (Helping Elevate thru Art an Love), which is a project started by a former student who was diagosed with leukemia.
