Together for the Better

President David Harswick, Executive Director Keith Patt and GBAPSD Superintendent Greg Maass held a press conference in West High School's  Old Library.

On April 29, 2010, the Green Bay Area School District and the Green Bay Education Association kicked off its TV campaign, "Together for the Better." The press conference was held at 1:30 p.m. in West High School's Old Library.

“Together for the Better” is a 30 second ad, which will run from May 3-7 on WBAY, WFRV, WGBA and WLUK. Superintendent Greg Maas and Executive Director Keith Patt are featured in the ad.

This ad focuses on how the collaborative relationship between the District and the GBEA has enabled us to move forward on innovative learning ideas such as IB, charter schools and the Professional Learning Communities.

This ad will run during Teacher Appreciation Week. This is a week where the focus is  on schools, and it is a great opportunity to turn the tables and use this opportunity to thank the community for its support of Green Bay public schools – passing the referendum, volunteering in our schools, the businesses who partner with our schools, the PTOs, parents, etc.

GBEA funded this ad as part of its continued efforts to share the great stories about Green Bay public schools and its dedicated staff. Every year GBEA sends out a parent/community newsletter three times per year. GBEA also had a long running campaign in the newspaper, and this year the communications committee decided to try television advertising, beginning with a 30 second ad that ran in November during American Education Week.
