GBEA Announces New President and Executive Board Members

 

Margaret (Toni) Lardinois

Green Bay, WI, August 17, 2010 — The Green Bay Education Association (GBEA) begins the 2010-11 school year with several new board members.

Margaret (Toni) Lardinois has been elected as GBEA’s full-time release president and will serve a two year term. Lardinois has taught in the Green Bay Area Public School District since 2004. Currently she is a Business Education Teacher at Franklin Middle School. She also served as a coach for girls’ volleyball, girls’ and boys’ basketball, co-ed track and Nia Dance.

Lardinois has served as vice president of the GBEA for the last two years. She has been a member of many district and association committees including District/Association Relations Committee, GBEA’s Professional Relations and GBPAC committees, District West Quadrant Team Member, and Diversity Training Facilitator. Lardinois has also served on various committees for the Wisconsin Education Association Council, which include the Minority Affairs Committee (Member and Chair), Strategic Planning Committee (Member) and the Elections Committee (Co-chair).

Lardinois grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and received a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff.  She continued her education earning a Wisconsin Teacher’s License from Concordia University, Milwaukee, Wis., and a M.A. in Educational Technology from Marian University, Appleton, Wis.

Prior to teaching, she worked for the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development as a loan specialist; for Integrated Community Services as an accountant; and for Employers Workforce Development Network with various responsibilities including accounting, building relationships with employers to assist with recruiting and retaining employees, and credit counseling.

Lardinois is joined by three newly elected members-at-large: Lori Cathey (Sullivan), Sarah-Jo Grullon (Danz) and Lori Serrano (Danz). All three will serve a two-year term.

Several board members were also elected to new two-year term positions. Andrew Tolksdorf (Red Smith) will serve as vice president and Debbie Kadon (Franklin) as Secretary.

They join Treasurer Ginny Fleck (Edison/Franklin/Lombardi) and Members-at-Large Bryan Milz (Washington), Stacy Norman (Webster) and Audrey Vandeyacht (Preble).
