Meet on Tuesday, February 12th at 7:00 pm at the Brown County Library with Bob Peterson and Barbara Miner. Bob is the President of the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association (MTEA) and Barbara, his wife, just published a book, "Lessons from the Heartland". They are from Milwaukee and have firsthand experience with vouchers in Milwaukee.

You are a highly qualified professional committed to giving your best to our students. It is amazing the work that is happening in your classroom. The GBEA and GBAPS have discussed the upcoming Press Gazette article and website link that allows citizens to view teacher salaries. You should have received a district e-mail explaining the Press Gazette article. The GBEA and GBAPS worked collaboratively on formulating that message. I wanted to be able to add some additional information.

Katie Mueller: Danz Elementary - Katie Mueller has been teaching for six years in the Green Bay Public Schools. She is currently teaching at Danz Elementary school. Katie has proven to be an excellent teacher and a productive and contributing member of the Danz staff. She is a leader of her Second Grade Collaborative Team and is also an Association Representative with the GBEA. In October Katie successfully wrote a grant to name Danz Elementary school a “NFL Super School.” This grant awarded Danz with $10,000 for health and wellness programming and equipment. NWEA Convention at Green Bay West High School

Friday, March 8, 2013 - 8:00am to 5:00pm

Northeastern Wisconsin Education Association (NWEA) is hosting their annual convention at West High School. This year's keynote speaker is J.R. Martinez. Mr. Martinez describes himself as a son, soldier and survivor.

The keynote session will take place on Friday, March 8 from 10:30-12:00 in the West High Auditorium.
